Veronica Skyler Splash White
Plant 16 - 20 cm apart. Once the seedling starts growing pinch above three to four sets of leaves once only, if the plant is already branching no pinching is required, Overhead watering is required while the pant is establishing
Flower harvesting - Cut when the flowering spike is 1/3 open. cut right back, all the way to the ground to encourage an addtional flush of flowers. Keep harvested flowers vertical as this is a geotropism plant and will bend to gravity
The Skyler series does not need a cold winter period to flower. It will flower the first year from planting unlike other Veronica cultivars. Depending on location you may harvest 2-4 flushes of flowers per year. It is fully hardy. In its second and third years, after cutting back flower stems to the ground you will see many more stems emerge as the plant spreads. You may need to replace them every 4 or 5 years if production declines.
If you receive temperatures below 2-4c in winter, to acheive quality blooms you are best to cut back any flower spikes to encourge flowering in Spring rather than winter. These low temps shrink the flower length.
